The Seminar on "Sino-UK Comparative Study on Agricultural Science and Technology Funding System", sponsored bySPF of the Great Britain Foreign and Commonwealth Office, was held in the China Science and Technology Hall on March 24th.
Dr. Karen Maddocks, First Secretary form Scientific Innovation Division of the British Embassy in China, made the opening remarks. More than 30 leaders and experts from Educational, Scientific and Cultural division of the Ministry of Finance, Scientific and Educational Division of the Ministry of Agriculture, Funds Management Center of Ministry of Science and Technology, Finance Bureau of Fund Committee, Bureau of Science & Technology for Development,CAS, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Research Institute of China Agricultural University, Institutes of Science and Development,CAS, Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology,CAS, Institute of Mathematics and System Sciences,CAS etc. attended the seminar.
Deputy Secretary of Bureau of Science & Technology for Dvelopment,CAS, DuanZiyuan chaired the meeting. Li Xiaoxuan, researcher of Strategic Consulting Institute, made a thematic report as the project leader and introduced the achievements of the project. Lively discussion and high appraisal were given to the projectwhile suggestions were also put forward for the application of the projects at the seminar.
